Lofoten Basecamp is a comfortable, clean and overall great place to stay near Leknes. It is located in an ideal location for travel both directions on the island. Although there is tunnel traffic, once you understand how the construction is working it easy to plan your trips accordingly. The electric chargers are easy to find and use. Rooms are cozy and had everything we needed for 4 nights. Although the sauna is an additional cost, it is private and can be paired with a cold dip. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Chambres bien équipées dans le nouveau bâtiment. Station de recharge pour les véhicules électriques.
Attention pas de vraie cuisine à disposition ni de restaurant ou de petit déjeuner. Il faudra faire 10 minutes de route pour rejoindre la ville voisine.
On regrette que le site mentionne "accès au sauna" mais qu'il fasse payer des frais de réservation pour y accéder...

Perfect stay at the Lofoten Basecamp, we had two night here separated by an overnight hike we did camping in between.

The sauna is a must, might be best booking in advance if you can as you get a 1hr private slot. We loved going in there and the jumping in the sea.

The room was nice and modern, with a nice skylight and birds flying in the marina.

After the first night we straight away booked the next night as we enjoyed it so much.

The only improvement would be if there were slightly more cooking facilities due to the limited (good) restaurants nearby.

Lofoten BaseCamp was a fantastic place to stay! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the start.

The room was modern and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed, a water kettle, and even a microwave – perfect for a bit of convenience and flexibility. Everything was clean and thoughtfully designed.

Yes, the price is on the higher side, but the quality of the accommodation and the peaceful setting absolutely justify it. A great blend of comfort, style, and functionality – highly recommended for your stay in the Lofoten!

Merci infiniment, surpasser cela ne sera pas facile, une destination tant convoitée depuis mon voyage en Scandinavie il y a près de deux décennies. L'île Lofoten était devenue un objectif, un rêve à réaliser un jour... Cela dépasse mes espérances en tant que destination, étant donné la beauté et le calme de ses paysages. Dans une zone encore plus isolée de ce monde, légèrement sauvage et naturelle... Cette charmante maisonnette de pêcheur, presque neuve et dotée d'un bon équipement, spacieuse et agréable à vivre, vous promet un instant de relaxation déconcertant. Un petit havre de paix rare et précieux, à l'abri du tumulte avec une agréable fraîcheur en ce jour estival où, partout ailleurs en Europe, la chaleur devient étouffante.
Même si c'est juste pour une nuit lors de mon périple, cet endroit est vraiment bien et je pense avoir trouvé le lieu parfait où revenir à l'avenir. Je vous remercie sincèrement d'avoir réussi à me fournir ce petit chalet, malgré une arrivée tardive. Je suis impatient de faire une promenade dans les environs, un véritable dépaysement mental. N'hésitez pas à vous aventurer dans le coin 🙂

Great location just off the main road and beautifully situated along the water. We stayed in a 1-bedroom harbor-view suite and the view was really nice. The cabin is quite small and a bit of a tight squeeze. The bedroom was also awkward as there is no space on either side of the beds so you have to get in and out at the foot of the bed. The heater in our bedroom would automatically turn on to 24C in the middle of the night (even though we set it at 16C so it wouldn't come on) so we woke up hot both nights. The stove alarm also went off at 4 am one night. We also ran out of hot water part way through the 2nd person showering. Some things cannot be changed and for a one or two night stay this suite is fine. Would suggest at check-in to mention the small water heater so people can manage the hot water supply better.

I normally don't like to do reviews, because everyone looks at things with a different perspective and what is good to some may be bad to others. Nor do I put much stock into reviews that others write for the same reasons. However, every once in a while, you come across a place that is just that good. I just spent the last 2 weeks of August in Norway. Traveled from Bergen to Stavanger all the way to Tromso, down to Lofoten and back to Bergen.., almost 5000 miles. I stayed in quite a few places from some small family owned places to some of the larger hotel chains in the larger cities and this place was 2nd to none of them. Spent 2 nights here and if I ever come back and I hope I get the chance too, I'm not even going to look for another spot. this place should get 10 stars. It was about as simple as you could make it and about as good as it gets all at the same time.
Flawless experience from check in to departure. The room (cabin) itself was twice as large as anything else I stayed in anywhere else for practically the same price. I would highly reccomend this place.
