He is focused on the highest quality experience for all participants. He is great at “reading” the group and tailoring the event to deliver a first class experience for each individual in the group. Have had two summer hikes over the last two days that were both well worth it! Both guides were great. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. (Maria was amazing!!) They both were careful to make sure I was comfortable (especially in colder temps). The trails used for the Bergen Classic and the Fjord Hike had amazing views.

I had the pleasure of booking a tour with Frank. Frank was such a ray of sunshine. He really went out of his way to make sure that we were all alright. There was an elderly couple that was struggling with the hike, but with Frank’s positive affirmations and assistance, they also made it to the top. He was extremely knowledgeable about a variety of things. My husband was asking him about plants and he knew all the answers. I’d have thought he was a part time botanist as well. I’m definitely going to book another tour with him next time we are back in Bergen. The saddest part of the tour was that it was over before I know it! If a fussy city boy like me can enjoy the hike, so can you!

Hot tip: Go in May. It’s the least dry of all the months.

Had a fantastic hike with Jannis today, exploring the mountain above the funicular. He was fun, thoughtful, and even brought delicious snacks! His delightful knowledge about crows, geography, and trolls (we got a bit silly) really made the walk a highlight of our whole holiday in Norway. I highly recommend Jannis’ guiding skills. Book now!

We had a wonderful day exploring the Bergen foothills around Mount Fløien with Jannis. He brought the history and landscape to life with fascinating insights and stories, pointing out landmarks and details we would have otherwise missed. His mix of knowledge, humor, and warmth made the experience both engaging and memorable. The route was beautiful, the pace just right, and the time flew by. We left with a much deeper appreciation of Bergen and its surroundings. Highly recommend Jannis to anyone looking for an informative and enjoyable adventure.

Today we did the Fjord hiking tour with Ole as our guide and it was magnificent. The hike that Ole chose was not too hard for us and the views were amazing as you can see. I highly recommend this experience!

This was such a great hike and trip overall! It was so refreshing to find a proper guided hike with experienced guides where we actually got a bit of a workout, hiking on sometimes rocky and boggy trails, experiencing true Norwegian nature! We hiked for around 4 hours total. I appreciated going to a trail off the beaten track so it was quiet. We saw stunning views over the fjords and lakes, friendly sheep, salmon fish farms in the fjords, and had a nice picnic lunch at the top with crackers, smoked salmon, ham and coffee brought by our guides, thank you! We had 2 guides, Ole and Tor, for a group of 5 guests, and they were both friendly and supportive and made it a fun outing for everyone. I’d definitely have done more hikes with this group if I’d stayed in Bergen longer and highly recommend them if you want to get into the outdoors and be active with a small group.

So glad we booked the hike attached to the fjord cruise. Few relaxing hours hiking up to the castle with Frank. Great views, fun but not too challenging terrain. Nice relaxed atmosphere with knowledge imparted along the way.

Would definitely recommend for those wanting an experience of the area.
